"This is very good. My only objection is the challenge of defining "good faith" and having it apply to "bad actors", a category which virtually all ICPs fit into quite comfortably. I would want an unambiguous definition of "good faith" coupled with clear and unambiguous penalties for breach of such standards. Otherwise, the bad actors will just thumb their noses at the good actors in society. In other words, I don't trust one single social media provider to ever play fair. Ever."
The easiest way to tell who our enemies are is by seeing who is pushing for censorship. The ability to error correct is the heart of morality for any nation. If you can't error correct you end up like North Korea. Free speech is the main vehicle of error correction.
It's mind boggling that the internet providers and search engines are the ones doing the censoring. Meta is the worst. It censored a photo I posted with the Eagle head bowed asking for prayers for our country. They left it up but made it look like I was posting and adult photo. Seriously? They tried to violate me for posting about an historical Black American woman during Black history month. Doesn't matter that I am a white woman. They tried to tell me it was spam. I told them they had better open a history book and take a look. It was Black history month and this woman was a part of that history. They actually apologized. It remained unposted.
Hi Rebecka - thanks for reading! I agree, Meta is terrible--we had similar bad luck when starting our instagram page, recently. I hope you enjoyed the article and were reassured by the ultimate conclusion that it's not too late quiiite yet - there's still something we can do!

I did enjoy the article. Thank you.
I am in FB jail weekly. Oh well, just don't give a hoot either.
I'm not sure, but you're right. Perhaps stress and negative emotions break us down slowly...
