Letitia James needs stripped of her law license when sanctioned by the Appeal Court. Also, the prosecutor and every single one willingly involved in this lawfare need sanctioned and fined. The fine should equal the entire cost of this case.

I agree. If we don’t punish this kind of blatant corruption, we won’t deter it

I think the best way to deter this type of lawfare in the future that Leticia James needs to be prosecuted under criminal corruption laws and sent to prison.

The fine should be disgorgement. Make them pay their unfounded funny money number.

Agree with all of the above, but something else needs to be done as well, something proactive. What James did was a farce, but she was allowed to carry on with it - this is obviously a major flaw in our system of justice - and look at the damage she did, in so many ways, while millions of people stood by, for more than a year, and watched, and made comments, but did nothing. We need to take a very hard look at each element in our judicial system, judges, juries, and especially prosecutors (“prosecutorial discretion” sounds good, and sophisticated, doesn’t it, but look at what a single wealthy, ideological, man named Soros has done with it). We need to put up some common sense guardrails.

The legal “process” should not be a very severe, costly, punishment, as often is the case. We are better than this; we are supposed to be smart and fair.

Well said and yes, our system needs a major cleanup.

Not only should Letitia James be disbarred, but I think she should be found guilty of election interference plain and simple. Everyone in the legal and business world knew what a sham this case was from the beginning. This article explains why very well

We really appreciate that! We hope this reaches the right people, and that if we can lay out the facts/law clearly enough, common sense will prevail!

The most frightening thing about this is that it was even allowed to happen!! What if you weren't Trump and didn't have access to the same type of legal team?

Look at farmers and ranchers that similar suits have been brought against! The gov't can't be stripped down to a "serve the people" size too soon!

All parties in on this scam, should be prosecuted and made to pay the FULL $450 million themselves! THAT WOULD BE JUSTICE !

True, but the frivolity of this case means that the common man could just as easily be targeted for equally ridiculous claims.

But their case would have merit, unlike Letitia James' case. Her arrogance alone is criminal!

Although this is well written and very clear to even a layperson in law, such as myself, I didn’t learn anything new. However, if Leticia James is not held accountable for what she’s done, then there still has not been justice in my opinion! She deserves to be disbarred and should be paying some heavy fines to Donald Trump and the taxpayers of New York!

Hi Andrea - Thanks for reading! A lot of the public are unaware of what is actually happening, so we just want to get the word out wherever possible. Great to hear you're already so informed!

And you are absolutely correct. The general public probably does not have time for this mess! But I am glad that you are getting the word out. Well done!

Just think of the wasted time, energy, effort and money for a politically motivated case. I hope that upon the verdict being overturned that Trump and company sue for damages

I agree. The election will be over by then, but at least society will belatedly be shown what corrupt monsters these people are.

TDS won’t see the truth; most won’t read this very informative & understandable overview of this case. They don’t want truth; they prefer their hate & using slurs against him like the newest one “fascist.”

Everything they accuse Trump of & his supporters of describes them. They are actually doing exactly what they accuse him & us of doing.

He sure can! He can sue for something called “malicious prosecution”. Those types of cases tend to be difficult to win, but he certainly has a strong case for it if he decides to go for it

The ruling from the appellate court should be more than ample evidence. I watched part of that hearing and they were properly appalled, hence the discussion of sanctions. It was truly beautiful, watching it. Finally, there actually are sane and unbiased in NYC!

Why did this law suit ever make it to court? The loan was paid on time with interest. Was the bank complaining?

Expand full comment
The Whole Truth's avatar

Hi Rebecka - you hit the nail on the head. No the bank was NOT complaining. In fact, all signs indicate the bank was very happy with the transaction, and they continued doing business with the Trump org. well after 2011. All Deutsche Bank officials testified in Trump's favor. The whole thing was genuinely a made-up witch hunt.

I think most of them have been just that witch-hunts. They have yet to make anything stick. So, almost 4 years of this administration and all they have to show is an invasion of illegal immigrants they want to vote for them.

As lawyers, they get into the weeds and explain the legalese in an easy-to-follow way. I only wish the conviction could be overturned BEFORE the election, but I doubt that will happen. I wrote a Substack about this case, but mine focused a bit more on the character of Letitia James and the judge. foxyheterodoxy.substack.com/p/they-real…
