Jordan Neely’s biological father should be ashamed that he was not part of his son’s troubled life but wants to profit on his accidental death.

Absolutely superb article. It's a sad affair that so many ignorant, racist people fall prey to the lies of the hate stream media.

Thanks Fred! It is sad indeed that the media shamelessly constructed yet another nasty, racial narrative - and one that is also very damaging to our country's social health.

Beyond shameful of this sperm-donor who never bothered to be a father to Jordan Neely to expect a payout. There was no loss of love or guidance since that was never provided during Neely’s life. There’s no loss of wages since Neely was homeless and unemployed. Exactly what pain and suffering this POS claims is another absurdity since he never considered the pain Neely suffered as an orphan and never knowing his father.

Wonder if it was really Andre Zachery who thought up the civil suit? Sounds like the work of the old shyster Al Sharpton, or perhaps the influence of the presiding judge and Bragg. Do we even know if Zachery is Neely’s biological father?

Bill Heath's avatar

I suspect you're onto something with the originator of the idea - it would be in character for Sharpton, and Bragg may feel his slimy grasp on power loosening.

Agreed. While Andre is most certainly deserving condemnation for his part, the lack of ethics from his lawyers is egregious. His lawyers, in an apparent money grab, should be censured. In my mind they rest a step below the proverbial 'ambulance chasers'.

Can ANYBODY really claim Neely's death or the verdict had anything to do with racism? And, if so, how? I literally can't create a coherent sentence which could support this idea in my mind.

It seems like pure emotion (or dishonesty). It's a shame so many people aren't pushing back on these kinds of ideas. They're extremely toxic for societies. I long for the day when a black student or journalist or media personality says "that's racist"... and their interlocutor says "I really don't think so." That day is coming but it ain't here yet.

Great piece. I didn't know most of this. Foster care, even though they lived in the same city... fucking shameful.

Thanks for reading, as always James! This type of witch-hunt is absurd, we agree. But it makes sense when you think about it - it's right where the interests of the leftist media and individual race-baiters (Al Sharpton) intersect!

I have to agree, if Andre Neely were a good man, his son would not have been left to turn to drugs and a homeless life. He would not have been declared an orphan. If anyone should be sued it's Andre Neely for desertion of a minor and lack of parental involvement in his son's life. He will answer to God one day and it won't be pretty.

Here’s an idea if Neely’s bio father does, in fact, get any monetary settlement from this shameful charade: perhaps the county should go after him for reimbursement of the cost of his son’s stay in foster care.

The lawyer who is bringing the suit is the true villain. The father is a prop.

Expand full comment
The Whole Truth's avatar

Ouch. But yeah, you're potentially right. Depends on the circumstances behind the lawsuit, which obviously aren't public knowledge. But the fact the father is so gung ho about it, and parroting the racial complaints outside the courtroom, is significant enough in itself.

I'm not surprised that Neeley had a miserable father; the whole thing was a tragedy and a farce, but not a crime. Penny was a hero, nothing less. The jury not only understood that, but ignored the judge's attempt to send them home over the weekend in the hopes they would convict him of a related offense.

Late to this - but, not to be too callous - what is the value of the life of a homeless, mentally unwell person? If 'wrongful death' is about financially filling that void, how are we to value that void in the life of a father who abandoned him. There's no lost wages or abruptly cut 'future earning potential.' What value to put on 'lost love' that was apparently already lost between the two years ago, by any practical measure. It's not just that his father should not collect a dime, where could we even justify a dime? This is not to say Jordan Neely's life was worthless, but in the case of a wrongful death, valuing a life is the grotesque task put before the court. Where could you argue this man benefitted his father or that his father's life is impacted going forward, besides 'emotional distress' at most? And is knowing his troubled son is dead substantially different, in a legal sense, from the pain he (supposedly) would already have felt from losing/abandoning his son to a life of homelessness and trouble?

I wish we could go back in time and take care of that little boy who brutally lost his mother. The whole thing is such a violent tragedy. By the time Jordan Neely died there was close to zero chance he was going to live and die an adult life with dignity. Im embarrassed for this father trying to take advantage of his son’s public tragedy for which the father had a large part in creating.

Well said. The saddest part of this story? As soon as I saw that Jordan Neely's name was entirely different from his father (Andre Zachery), I already predicted the ending to the story. Family and home life matters a lot.

Sexual abuse of children, violence toward political “threats” to corrupt NC officials, aid to these crimes by NC & Federal government, judicial, law enforcement, “trusted” institutions, media...the traumatized victims and grieving families DO NOT MATTER in NC.

District Attorney Office's used for rape, theft of taxpayer funds, child abuse and sadistic violence are NC's "Culture of Corruption," according to the FBI.

This is the same FBI that has and continues to aid and collude in criminal misconduct "Under color of law," subverting with violence representative democracy, Rule of Law, Constitutional & civil rights, due process, whistleblower protections, protection of minors from abuse & sexual violence trauma, engaging in sadistic brutality, torture, deprivation of basic rights, and deliberate, dehumanizing torment of crime victims (including minors).

Extensive undeniable evidence illustrates US DOJ, FBI, US Attorney for Eastern NC, the corrupt son of a corrupt Governor appointed by a President who LOVES consequence-free Corrupt Political Family Criminality, NC Attorney (soon to be Governor) General Josh Stein & predecessor child rape & DA rapist abettor Gov. Roy Cooper.

The FBI and DOJ along with Congress, State and Local officials, government leaders & personnel in violation of the law and public trust, and bribed media paid with taxpayer dollars to invent purely fictional stories intended to destroy & discredit any “threat” to NC’s pervasive, sadistic, deviant “Culture of Corruption,” together (Fed, State & Local).

The FBI aggressively, criminally, utilizes violence, torture and the corrupt, broken judicial system as evil as the FBI, and officials who are responsible for such evil relish subverting the Rule of Law, legal procedures & Due Process, undermining local democratic government for the corrupt allies of these CORRUPT institutions, and providing for embezzlement of public funds for personal theft, and aiding armed violence, brutality, extortion, retaliation, violent, horrific, persistent, criminal, sinister acts resulting in death, or worse, and subjecting innocent victims to a fate worse than death.

Followed by life-ruining attacks on families, businesses, and reputations, using bribery & aid of media, law enforcement, clergy, both major political parties and officials to torture, brutalize, and compel under penalty of death by armed deputies operating as an armed hit squad under the DA and Sheriff.

This pattern has been repeated for decades, but none of the smeared victims has ever committed any crimes prior to or after this collusion to destroy any opponent to corruption and proponent of democracy, justice, law-and-order & public service by the US DOJ and its FBI and relevant divisions in violation of its mission and claimed purpose.

Evidence provided upon request and the US DOJ, FBI & corrupt Biden-Harris appointed US Attorney for Eastern District North Carolina.
